Meet the Baker

I’ve always been an artist. After graduating from the University of Washington with a BA in art, I applied for my master’s in art therapy. I love baking in my free time. During the nerve-wracking application process, I’d joke to myself “Well if I don’t get in, I’ll just start a macaron bakery. I’ll call them shmacarons.” I was extremely disappointed to find out I didn’t get accepted. I was torn between reapplying or trying something different. Safe route or try something risky?

Artists are notorious for taking risks. We’re just silly like that. Ultimately, my decision came from my heart and that’s why the name is Heart & Honey (sorry to any shmacaron fans). It’s been an amazing journey, and only made possible with the support from amazing people like you! Thank you for supporting local, POC owned, small business’.
